Cancer Hospital

When visiting a cancer hospital, one can find many kinds of specialists; each one has its division and patients looking for these specialists. What could be the difference between normal doctors and these specialists?

Most people in India, especially those from the rural sector, are unaware that there is a difference between doctors and specialists. Doctors take up general health appointments and examine patients for general health-related issues.

But most of the cancer hospitals in Bangalore are multispeciality hospitals where specialists are present who can take care of specific health concerns such as the heart, kidney, liver, or cancer. Moreover, these specialists have completed their specialized education beyond their doctor’s degree and have had specific training in treating conditions in their unique field of expertise.

Health Care Specialists v/s Doctors

General Hospitals are different from Multispeciality hospitals. A general hospital mostly has a few available doctors and can address common concerns such as flu, fevers, body pain, dysentery, infections, etc.

Multispeciality hospitals have multiple specialists who are well versed in the different types of issues on each body part. For example, someone who has cancer is a suitable candidate for a Cancer specialist instead of a general physician.

A cancer specialist is a doctor with an advanced degree in cancer care. They can suggest treatments and even perform surgeries for the patient.

Similarly, there are multiple specialties in a multispeciality hospital, and there are specialists in each division who can provide specific care for the patient in case of disease that pertains to a specific part of the body such as the heart, spine, joints, liver, kidneys, cancer, etc. For example, some of the best cancer hospitals in Bangalore are multispeciality hospitals with these facilities for all kinds of patients.
